Proverbs 1:7 The Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction
Proverbs 3:3-4 Never let loyalty and kindness leave you! Tie them around your neck as a reminder. Write them deep within your heart. Then you would find favor with both God and people, and you will earn a good reputation.
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take
Proverbs 3:31-32 Don’t envy the violent or copy their ways. Such wicked people are detestable to the Lord, but he offers his friendship to the godly
Proverbs 3:35 The wise inherit honor, but fools are put to shame!
Proverbs 4:14 Don’t do as the wicked do, and don’t follow the path of evildoers
Proverbs 4:24-27 Avoid all perverse talk; stay away from corrupted talk. Look straight ahead, and fixed your eyes on what lies before you. Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path. Don’t get side tracked; keep your feet from following evil.
Proverbs 6:16-19 There are six things the Lord hates—no seven things he detests: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that kills the innocent, a heart that plots evil, feet that race to do wrong, a false witness that pours out lies, a person that sows discord in a family
Proverbs 8:5 You simple person, use good judgement. You foolish people, show some understanding.
Proverbs 9: 7-9 Anyone who rebukes a mocker will get an insult in return. Anyone who corrects the wicked will get hurt. So don’t bother correcting mockers, they will only hate you. But correct the wise, and they will love you. Instruct the wise and they will be even wiser. Teach the righteous and they will learn even more.
Proverbs 9:10 Fear of the Lord is the foundation of wisdom. Knowledge of the Holy One results in good judgement.
Proverbs 10: 1 A wise child bring joy to a father; a foolish child brings grief to a mother.
Proverbs 10:8 The wise are glad to be instructed, but babbling fall flat on their faces.
Proverbs 10:12 Hatred stirs up quarrels, but love makes up for all offences

Proverbs 10:17-21 People who accept discipline are on the pathway to life, but those who ignore correction will go astray. Hiding hatred makes you a liar; slandering others makes you fool. Too much talk leads to sin. Be sensible and keep your mouth shut. The words of the Godly are like sterling silver; the heart of fool is worthless. The words of the Godly encourage many, but fools are destroyed by their lack of common sense.
Proverbs 10:23 Doing wrong is fun for a fool, but living wisely brings pleasure to the sensible.
Proverbs 11:12 It is foolish to belittle one’s neighbor, a sensible person keeps quiet
Proverbs 11:13 A gossip goes around telling secrets, but those who are trustworthy can keep a confidence

Trust in God
Sirach 2:1-3 My child, when you come to serve the Lord, prepare yourself for trials. Be sincere of heart and steadfast, and do not be impetuous in time of adversity. Cling to him, do not leave him that you may prosper in the last days.
Against presumption
Sirach 5 1-2 Do not rely on your wealth, or say, I have the power. Do not rely on your own strength in following the desires of your heart

Sirach 7:1-2 Do no evil, and evil will not overtake you; avoid wickedness, and it will turn away from you
